Lymphoedema Research Grant

Lymphoedma Research Grant (LRG)

The British Lymphology Society established our research fund in 2003 in honour of Dr Caroline Badger, one of our founding members; who contributed tirelessly to promote awareness of lymphoedema. Caroline played a significant role in the development of lymphoedema research and inspired all who knew her. Her post as Consultant Lymphoedema Specialist was the first of its kind in the UK. It was Caroline’s wish that any grant should facilitate and recognise clinical research activity. The two main aims are:

To develop evidence-based lymphoedema practice

To encourage lymphoedema practitioners to develop their skills by becoming involved in research activity

BLS has also successfully applied to become a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) commercial partner. This means that all NHS based projects funded by BLS, are automatically eligible for NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) support. Please check: www.crn.nihr.ac.uk for advice and support.
