Job Description

BRITISH LYMPHOLOGY SOCIETY

National Tariff Setting Project Officer

An exciting opportunity has been created to work with the BLS on a self employed basis for a twelve month period. The successful candidate will be leading on a project to determine a tariff price for Lymphoedema Services, with the aim of driving the Department of Health’s objective in issuing a National Tariff. It is anticipated that the project will have direct influence on the Governmental Strategy.

Details

• £30.00 per hour, plus travel and BLS Project related expenses
• Fixed term for twelve months
• 7.5 hours per week over an agreed period for instance four days per month
• Self employed basis

Knowledge and Experience

BLS is looking for a candidate with

• Proven track record in tariff setting
• Experience in commissioning of Services
• Understanding of the current costing strategies in healthcare and methodology for determining tariffs
• Understanding of the BLS constitution and its aims and objectives
• An ability to organise own work
• Experience in writing formal documents
• Experience in collating information and producing costing matrices
• An ability to work flexible hours according to the needs of the project
