It’s non-invasive medical devices measure body fat, fat free mass, total body water, extra-cellular water, and much more.
Importantly, for Lymphoedema patients, it’s multi-frequency QuadScan 4000 device can assess changes in extra-cellular fluid levels in the patient’s arms and legs by simply placing two sets of skin electrodes in the appropriate positions. An Index ratio is instantly displayed; as fluid accumulates, the index value increases. The effectiveness of treatment on the patient can therefore easily be determined and assist in the clinical assessment of lymphoedema progression in the patient by tracking change over time.
The accuracy of the Index ratio is independent of patient weight, fat, fat free mass change, age or population group.
The measurements are automatically stored in the portable device but can be downloaded into the Bodystat software to track and monitor the change in the fluid levels over time. State of the art Bluetooth technology is used to transfer the data into the software and can further be transferred direct into Excel spreadsheet at a click of a button. An instant print-out can also be obtained from an optional portable Thermal printer.
As the need for non-invasive, non-intrusive diagnostic systems has increased and regular monitoring becomes even more important, clinicians are seeking quick, simple solutions to monitor these changes.
Bodystat devices are accurate, portable, independently certified, and carry the CE marking for the Medical Devices Directive.

Corporate Membership
Corporate membership is open to companies and other organisations that contribute to the advancement of BLS and its work.
Benefits The annual fee is for the calendar year April to March and includes exhibition space for a 2m table at the Annual BLS Conference in October plus lunch, refreshments and Gala Dinner attendance for one company representative.
Corporate members and their products will be listed in the annual Conference Edition of the BLS Newsletter, "News & Views".
The "Corporate Members" page on the BLS website will provide space for a company entry (up to 500 words) and the facility to provide weblinks to companies own websites.
