In 1859 Dr Karl Sigg was working on a device to help him treat his patients with varicose veins. He asked a locally run family business called Ganzoni to help him and we together produced the first medical stocking for veno/lymphous disorders, and we had a great story as to why we are called Sig Varis!
Today we are still proud to be a family business
We introduced the first stocking,armsleeve, and the first glove onto the UK market for Lymphoedema and are global market leaders in medical compression, being present in 82 countries throughout the world. One thing is for sure though - we would not be where we are without listening to customers and sufferers - and that's why if you want to contact me my personal details are on our literature. Corporate Membership
Corporate membership is open to companies and other organisations that contribute to the advancement of BLS and its work.
Benefits The annual fee is for the calendar year April to March and includes exhibition space for a 2m table at the Annual BLS Conference in October plus lunch, refreshments and Gala Dinner attendance for one company representative.
Corporate members and their products will be listed in the annual Conference Edition of the BLS Newsletter, "News & Views".
The "Corporate Members" page on the BLS website will provide space for a company entry (up to 500 words) and the facility to provide weblinks to companies own websites.
