  7. A member of the Conference Working Party will be able to assist you in placing your poster on allocated boards.

Award for the Best Poster Presentation

There is an annual award for the best poster. This year there will be two prizes. One will be for the best poster on a research study and a second will be for a non-research topic. The prizes will be awarded at the conference dinner. An invited guest (or guests) will be asked to judge the presentations and make the awards. The abstracts will be sent to the judge in advance of the conference.

Criteria for the award for the best poster are:

  • Focus: Is it relevant to BLS, i.e. related to chronic oedema and its treatment and to the conference theme?
  • Content: Does it add new knowledge?
  • Quality of work: Is the 'project' or study undertaken in a careful, logical way? Are the implications of findings / initiative highlighted?
  • Quality of presentation: Is the material designed, organised and well presented?
  • Further information: Are relevant references, sources of further information and author contact details provided?
