BLS Conference
The 2009 BLS Annual Conference "Back to Basics – the next steps" is to be held at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Sheffield on 11th, 12th and 13th October 2009- - The conference starts on Sunday 11th as usual but the first session starts on Monday morning at 9am and the conference closes at 2.30pm on Tuesday October 13th.

Abstracts are welcome on any aspect of lymphoedema that may inform practice, research or education. If you are undertaking any audits, surveys or research do consider submitting an abstract for a presentation or poster. If you have any colleagues in related areas such as dermatology, vascular or plastic surgery who have been doing any relevant research, do pass the form to them.
Timetable for submission of abstracts for 2009 BLS conference
Now is the time to be thinking about presenting a paper or poster at next year's conference. Below is the timetable which will be need to be strictly observed please as late applications will not be considered.
If you've never presented a poster or paper at conference before we would encourage you to do so in 2009. Why not contact someone you know who has and can give you some advice? The main points to remember are to ensure you allow yourself time to meet the deadlines and that you follow the guidelines for submission, published with the call for abstracts.

| June 26th 2009 | Applicants should have received confirmation that their abstract has been received. If not, it is the responsibility of the applicant to contact Jane or Anna at BLS Admin. |
| July 3rd 2009 | Review Panel members submit comments to Research Advisory Board Chair. |
| July 31st 2009 | All applicants will have received feedback from RAB chair. |
| August 28th 2009 | Closing date for any suggested amendments to have been addressed by applicant and revised abstract submitted. |
| September 74h 2009 | Written confirmation of acceptance will have been received by applicant. |
| 14th September 2009 | Conference Proceedings go to print. |
